A Level & GCSE Celebrations

The moment of truth arrived for Year 13 and Year 11 students this August, as the seal on their A Level and GCSE results was broken.

Students excelled with a 98% pass rate at A Level, 68% passes at grades A and B and 85% at grades A to C maintaining the School’s position as one of the highest achieving establishments in the region.

20% of the year group achieved all A grades these include:

Sarah Elvidge: (last year’s Deputy Head Girl) in Art, Biology, Geography, Maths and General Studies. Who is now to realise a lifelong ambition to read Computer Visualisation and Animation at Bournemouth.

Emily Holyoake: in English Literature, Psychology, and Theatre Studies. She goes on to read Drama at Exeter. And Rosanna Wilson: (last year’s Head Girl) in English Literature, French, History and Religious Studies. To read Combined Honours in The Arts at Durham.

The following Thursday further celebrations were in order with the news that 58% of Year 11 pupils achieved A*/A grades in their GCSEs.

83% of Year 11 pupils have achieved A* to B grades in their GCSEs and 24% of students achieved all A*/A grades including: Selina Badiani, Holly Barker, Harriet Buckley, Zoe Carrigan, Siobhan Collins, Marianne Evans, Amelia Kenyon, Natasha Wrzesinski, Ayesha Shajpal and Holly Edmond who gained 10 A* grades. 98% of pupils achieved all A* to C grades in 7 GCSE’s.

Alison Steele, Head Teacher says: “We’re pleased to celebrate another year of fantastic results. Our pupils have worked extremely hard and thoroughly deserve to move on to the next stage in their lives whether it be into higher education or their chosen careers or returning to school to begin their Sixth Form studies.

The effort from our pupils, combined with the support of parents and our dedicated staff have all helped to secure this year’s excellent results. It’s been a joy to see how our girls have developed into mature, responsible young ladies and we wish them every success for the future.”

Scenes of happiness for A Level and GCSE students.
